ABOUT MISS BARBARA’S SCHOOLHOUSE
Miss Barbara operated a licensed three room, 24 learning center preschool for eight years in Hoopeston, IL. Her program exceeded the Illinois State Board of Education Early Childhood Learning Standards.
Students traveled many miles to attend this preschool, even all the way from Japan! Many are accelerated readers, have received art awards and music awards!
Miss Barbara has visited schools in Mexico, Belize, Jamaica, West Indies, Japan and the Virgin Islands. In 2008, Miss Barbara decided to start a new adventure by working with preschool children in St. Croix, Virgin Islands.
She has many costumes she wears when teaching and she also uses puppets. One of her favorite puppets is Ed-Wyatt, a mouse. He always travels with her and has many stories to share. Check it out on Ed-Wyatt’s Stories!
